YOGA ASSOCIATION OF TOJIKISTON ‘IRODA’
Since the first days of its establishment (24 March 1990) the Yoga Association of Tojikiston ‘IRODA’ under the leadership of its president Abduwahobi Muhammad Sobir set a single goal: to help the population of the Republic of Tojikiston to visibly improve their health independently, on their own without aside help.
To this end, it has focused all its activities on educating and the production of methodological instructors. For this purpose, Yoga teacher training centers were opened, and regular medical and regular health and wellness classes were organized in thirteen locations throughout the city.
From the day of their election, the members of the Council of the Association began to widely promote the Yoga system of healing and wellness throughout the whole of Republic of Tojikiston. Active members spoke at clubs, in factories and regularly used print, television and radio programs.
Almost annually scientific and practical conferences of republican scale were convened.
In 2001, an international scientific and practical conference was organized with the participation of Yoga specialists from the Delhi State Institute of Yoga. Many members of the Council of the Association took active part in international scientific-practical conferences of Yoga, which were held in Moscow, Minsk, Tashkent and India.
In November 1989, the President of the Association, A. M. Sobir was
officially invited to the international scientific-practical Yoga conference in Moscow, where he was examined by the famous yogi B. К. S. Iyengar from India and as a result of his excellent endurance of the examination he was photographed with him surrounded by his students from France and India for publication in the newspaper ‘Moskovskaya Pravda’ (22 October 1989). In 1990, the 2nd scientific and practical international conference was held in Moscow again.
A group of 8 people from the Yoga Co-operative ‘IRODA’ went to this conference from Dushanbe, headed by its director A. M. Sobir. At this Conference the Yoga Cooperative of Tojikiston was honored for its active participation. Yoga Cooperative of Tojikiston entered into collective members of the Yoga Association of the USSR, and its Director as a member of the Council of the Yoga Association of the USSR.
These conferences were attended by famous yogis from 15 countries of the world, they participated in these conferences actively.
On 24 March 1990 the Yoga Association of Tojikiston ‘IRODA’ was established, under the aegis of the Yoga Association of the USSR, with the active help and participation of its president L. N. Teternikov.
After successful participation of yogis of our Republic at the above-mentioned conferences, the fame about successes of yogis of our Republic was spread all over the world and reached India.
In August 1991, the President of the Yoga Association of Tojikiston ‘IRODA’
Here A. M. Sobir actively participated and showed his mastery, for what he was honored with an honorary diploma of high quality and degree of Master Yogi with the award of the 1st degree cup.
Then, after travelling all over India, he visited Yoga centers and institutes, giving lectures (about 50) and showing his abilities both theoretically and practically, which were widely published in the Indian press.
Being in the Yoga Institute in Bhopal for 40 days A. M. Sobir taught the students of the Yoga Institute according to his system, for which he was recognized as a specialist of high degree and was awarded with a diploma of 1st degree. After the appearance in the press of this state of laudatory articles of praise and pictures, he began to receive visits from all over, from different parts of India, Yoga specialists to talk, to consult, to sick people, for treatment. Suddenly, to the surprise of all, came the Assistant Ruler of the State of Matya Pradesh, Mr. Mahmood Ali Khan, came to A.M. Sobir with an official invitation to the Prince’s Palace, where he spent more than two hours demonstrating his skills with a video tape, cassette of Yoga activities in Tojikiston. A day later he was invited again to a banquet where A.M. Sobibir was honorably received by Prince Mahmud Ali Khan, took pictures and at the end of the banquet gave him valuable gifts, a letter of honor personally from the Prince with the Golden Seal. Having secluded themselves in a separate room, the two of them talked about Yoga in Tojikiston and what it brings to the people. The reception was attended by ministers, the staff of the Ruler of the State and the entire family of Prince Mahmud Ali Khan (wife, daughter, son-in-law and their children, etc.).
The results of these meetings were widely publicized in the State press.
From Bhopal, A. M. Sobir was invited by Guru Shivom Tirth to the Dahisar Ashram for blessing and formal ceremony of admission into the disciple and the Yoga system. This ceremony went off perfectly. Immediately after the conclusion of the ceremony Swami Shivom Tyrth went to Switzerland, where he was expected, at the Ashram for some other ceremony.
The programmer of A. M. Sobir’s sojourn in India was very extensive. From Dahisar he went to Rishikesh to make acquaintance with that holiest of holy place. After staying here for a few days and gaining a rich impression of the of the area, the ashrams, the spiritual people, the gurus, the Yoga centers, the rich landscape at the foot of the Himalayas, he travelled again to Bhopal, where P.D.Mishra was waiting for him.
P.D.Mishra was waiting for him to go to Puttaparthi to the Yoga Ashram of Prashanti Nilayam, to Avatar of Swami Sathya Sai Baba.
When A. Sobir saw Mishra and Vasania falling on the ground at the sight ofSai Baba, he simply did not understand the significance of such honor and respect for this small in stature, a man with lush black hair and a swarthy face. It was not only my friends who fell head over heels to the ground, but everyone people in the sunny courtyard of the fortress, and they were innumerable, thousands and five. Only A. Sobir, stunned and not and did not know how to behave. Sai Baba was passing between people sitting in lotus posture, or vajrasana and collected the letters from their hands and, when their hands were full, He would hand them over to His attendant servants. He produced some material substances and gave them to the people. Sometimes from His hands fell as if from a heavy stone of a mill some powder, which He poured into the outstretched hands of those sitting nearer to Him. A. Sobir did not understand all this. He thought it was some kind of trick, but P. D. Mishra and P. S. Vasania assured him that there was no trick. He is just a self-deified, A man with a capital letter. He is a God-inspired and God-loving Man. God has given him all his rights and responsibilities so that people will better understand, to understand and love Sai Baba as God.
A few days later, towards the end of his stay at the Prashanti Nilayam Ashram, from mental disturbances and nervous tension and disbelief in the
Sai Baba’s miracles, A. M. Sobir became seriously ill with fever. On travelling back to Bhopal, there was nowhere even to sit in the train and. was feverish. Barely reaching Bhopal, Mishra wanted to put Sobir, A. M in a hospital, but he flatly refused, saying that he would cure himself by his own Yoga system.
He did so, but most importantly he realized that the reason for this was Sai Baba’s disbelief as a God-Man. He then began to collect literature about Sai Baba and study Him properly.
Thus, A. M. Sobir started travelling to Sai Baba almost every year. He travelled to Him four times and the last time was in 1999. This time he was staying in Prashanti Nilayam, which by this time had been transformed into a fabulous palace, for 40 days. Before leaving, at the last meeting in the courtyard-palace of the Ashram, when A. M. Sobir was sitting on the front row and did not expect Baba to would call him for an interview, he did not even look in Sai Baba’s direction, lowered his head and thought what was wrong in him, what he was doing wrong on the way to Yoga, towards the knowledge of God and Sai Baba. Suddenly he felt that someone was standing in front of him, and he raised his head and saw Sai Baba himself standing beside him, smiling, saying what was wrong with him… Having called A.M. Sobir for an audience (interview), they talked about this and that for an hour and as a reward Sai Baba gave A.M. Sobir a gold ring with three diamonds, catching it in the air. It was the happiest day that A. M. Sobir had achieved for 10 years.
Since 1991 A. M. Sobir has travelled to India 10 times to participate in Yoga events, for deep learning of Yoga, both theoretically, bringing literature and practically, having seen in Yoga-centers, institutes and academies of Yoga in the Himalayas, personally talking with celebrities, Yoga miracle workers, experienced gurus, etc. He has appeared on Delhi radio and Indian television. In this way, he became an honorary member of many Yoga organizations all over India.
In our Republic of Tojikiston, the members of the Association, personally the very President of the Association A. Sobir travelled to all cities, districts and villages with demonstration, educational and therapeutic performances. In order to improve the health of the population as soon as possible, a training school for instructors was organized in Dushanbe.
Radio, television and the press have become permanent tribunes, as evidenced by positive reviews, letters of gratitude and letters of appreciation came. As evidenced by the positive feedback and letters of gratitude from the citizens of Dushanbe and the Republic were brought and scientific and practical conferences were frequently convened for the participation of all interested persons.
which were attended by all comers, both inquisitive, and curious residents. The opera and ballet theatre staged two performances of Yoga with artistic design.
So, the Yoga Association of Tojikiston ‘IRODA’ has become world-famous, because after each visit of the Yoga Association of Tojikiston ‘IRODA’ famous, because after each visit of A. M. Sobir from India, there were letters inviting A. Sobir to Germany, Poland, then to Africa and other foreign countries, because in India, A. M. Sobir was giving demonstration lessons of Yoga until one month in international centers where foreigners were present and they liked his Yoga classes. To this day they invite him abroad, even to Russia, but he does not want to leave his Republic without his supervision, fearing to stay abroad for long. About him even composed poems by Indian Yogi-poets, and wrote articles about Tojik Yoga, articles and even books are written about it in many languages of the world.
